Software Engineer - AI Developer Productivity

Baseten seeks a Software Engineer to build the internal AI developer platform, including agent configurations, context/tooling layer, evals, and rollout mechanics. The role involves owning the platform end-to-end, integrating AI coding tools, building frameworks for other engineers, establishing evaluation practices, and driving adoption through developer experience. Requires 4+ years experience, Python/Go, LLM/agent frameworks, platform mindset.

4+ years industry experience building AI-native SDLC. Strong proficiency in Python/Go. Hands-on experience with LLMs and agent frameworks (tool calling, MCP, context management). Deep personal fluency with AI coding tools. Platform mindset: build for adoption and self-service. Developer tooling, CI/CD, Kubernetes/Docker fundamentals. Comfort with ambiguity. Excellent written communication.
