About the role
Docker is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI Developer Tools team, building AI-powered developer tools and a self-service platform. The role involves designing, building, and operating production AI agents for developer productivity, integrating LLM providers, and building platform capabilities. The engineer will work at the intersection of AI, developer experience, and platform engineering, reporting to the Senior Manager.
Requirements
6+ years of software engineering experience building production systems; hands-on experience with LLM-powered applications and AI agents; working knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and agent orchestration; experience with scalable backend services, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and observability; proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, or Python; experience building developer tools; good product judgment; clear communication; ownership mentality; comfortable in remote-first environment; Bachelor's degree or
