Software Engineer, Storage Systems (Agent Infra)

Baseten is hiring a Software Engineer for the Agent Infra team to build Agent Drive, a distributed filesystem for agent sandboxes. The role involves designing and implementing core features like metadata replication, cache coherency, tenant isolation, and optimizing tail latency. Requires strong systems programming and Linux filesystem internals knowledge.

Strong systems programming in Go, Rust, or C/C++, deep understanding of Linux filesystem and storage internals, hands-on experience building distributed storage or caching infrastructure, ability to profile I/O and RPC bottlenecks and debug concurrency bugs, and a fast-moving ownership mindset on a small team.
