Staff+ Software Engineer, Storage + Transfer

Anthropic seeks a Staff+ Software Engineer to design, secure, and scale exabyte-scale multi-cloud storage infrastructure. The role involves shaping technical strategy, building relationships with partner teams, making tradeoffs across durability, availability, etc., and leading cross-functional teams. The engineer will work on blob storage platforms, collaborate with research, training, and data teams, and stay hands-on in code and production.

Experience designing, building, and operating a large-scale distributed storage system in production; deep understanding of storage system fundamentals; experience as owner/tech lead/architect for large infrastructure; strong software engineering fundamentals in C++, Rust, Go, or Java; experience operating critical infrastructure at scale; strong communication skills.
