Product Platform - Backend Engineer

Baseten is hiring a backend/distributed systems engineer for the Product Platform team. The role involves building scalable telemetry ingest and storage pipelines, observability platforms, commercialization and billing systems, internal AI agent platform, testing strategy, and improving developer experience. The engineer will work on cross-team projects and partner with infrastructure, model performance, and product teams.

Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent, 5+ years industry experience building scalable backend systems, experience with observability systems, proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust, strong systems-level thinking, platform mindset, excellent communication.
