About the role
Axon is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Networking to lead the architecture and redesign of cloud networking across AWS, Azure, and devices. This role involves defining technical strategy, driving decisions on availability, performance, security, and cost, mentoring senior engineers, and setting AI strategy. The position is hybrid based in Seattle, with onsite work Tuesday-Friday and remote Monday.
Requirements
15+ years of professional software engineering with deep networking expertise. Expert knowledge of VPC/VNET, routing, DNS, load balancing, VPN. Experience with public cloud environments (AWS/Azure). Multi-cloud and FedRAMP/GovRAMP experience nice to have. Proficiency in Go, C, C++, Python, or Java. Strong communication, mentoring, and ability to influence without authority.
