About the role
Axon seeks a Senior Firmware Engineer to design and develop firmware for AIoT infrastructure, including eLinux/eAndroid SoCs, microcontrollers, RF technologies (Wi-Fi, BLE, LTE, 5G), battery/power management, and manufacturing provisioning. Responsibilities include board bring-up, design docs, collaboration with distributed teams, driving engineering excellence, and mentoring on AI-assisted development. Requirements
B.S. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 8-14 years of industry firmware/embedded experience. Proficiency in C, C++, Rust, Golang, Python. Experience with embedded Linux (Yocto, OpenWRT), Android (AOSP), RTOS, datasheets/schematics, technical writing, AI coding assistants. Strong understanding of computer architecture, OS, concurrency, networking, data structures, algorithms, OOP. Cellular LTE/5G and battery/power management experience is a plus.
