About the role
Anthropic is hiring a Staff+ Software Engineer to join the Platform organization, building foundational infrastructure that accelerates product development. The role involves scoping multi-month projects, driving cross-org alignment, and making architectural decisions. The engineer will partner with research to productize capabilities and impact hundreds of thousands of users and companies.
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of backend/platform engineering experience building scalable distributed systems, ideally at tech lead level. Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, networking, systems design. Proficient in Python, Go, Rust. Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, multi-cloud networking. Take full ownership, navigate ambiguity, product-focused approach. Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
