Staff+ Software Engineer, Product Sandboxing

Anthropi c is hiring a Staff+ Software Engineer to build and run the secure execution environment behind Claud's agentic capabilities, including code execution, web browsing, and computer use. The role involves working at the intersection of systems engineering and security to make untrusted code execution safe, fast, and reliable at scale. The engineer will independently scope complex projects, drive cross-org alignment, and make architectural decisions shaping Anthropics products.

Minimum 8 years of backend/platform engineering experience building scalable distributed systems, ideally at tech lead level. Strong fundamentals in SOA, networking, and systems design. Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or similar. Experience with cloud (GCP, AWS, Azure), Kubernetes, multi-cloud networking. Full ownership from design to operations. Able to navigate ambiguity and make independent technical decisions.
