About the role

Axon 911 is seeking a Senior Platform Software Engineer to join the platform engineering team. This hybrid role (4 days/week in Manhattan) involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and developer platform, automating tasks, defining SLOs, and mentoring junior engineers. The role requires strategic vision and hands-on skills in cloud, IaC, containerization, CI/CD, and backend technologies. The mission is to modernize 911 infrastructure with AI.

Requirements

5+ years software engineering experience, proven platform engineering role, experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD (GitHub Actions, Drone CI, GitLab CI), backend stack (RoR, Go), monitoring (OpenTelemetry, Datadog, LGTM), strong communication, enthusiasm for AI-augmented development.
