Software Engineer, Distributed Systems

Figma is seeking a Software Engineer for the Infrastructure team to design, build, and operate systems powering real-time collaborative design tools. The role involves working on distributed systems, storage, compute orchestration, developer tooling, and networking. This is a full-time role based in US hubs or remote within the United States.

5+ years of Software Engineering experience in backend or infrastructure; deep understanding of distributed systems concepts (sharding, replication, consistency); experience with cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), infrastructure-as-code, and container orchestration; proficiency in Go, TypeScript, Python, Rust, or Ruby; strong system design and communication skills; experience mentoring.
