Software Engineer - Data Infrastructure

The Data Platform team at Figma builds and operates foundational systems powering analytics, AI/ML, and data-driven decision-making. They own and scale critical platforms such as Snowflake, ML Datalake, orchestration, and large-scale data ingestion. The role focuses on building data infrastructure for AI-powered products, driving cost and performance optimizations, scaling ingestion and reverse ETL, and strengthening data quality and compliance.

5+ years of backend or infrastructure engineering experience designing and building distributed data infrastructure at scale. Strong expertise in batch and streaming processing (Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow/Dagster). Proven track record of impact-driven problem-solving, high-quality systems. Excellent technical communication. Experience mentoring engineers. Familiarity with Golang, Python, SQL, dbt, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Dagster preferred.
