Software Engineer - Data Infrastructure

The Data Platform team at Figma builds foundational systems for analytics, AI/ML, and data-driven decision-making. This role involves designing large-scale distributed data systems, managing Snowflake, ML Datalake, orchestration infrastructure, and real-time ingestion. The engineer will develop batch and streaming solutions, improve data reliability and compliance, optimize costs, and collaborate with research and business teams.

Minimum 5+ years backend or infrastructure engineering experience designing and building distributed data infrastructure at scale. Strong expertise in batch and streaming data processing technologies such as Spark, Flink, Kafka, or Airflow/Dagster. Proven track record of impact-driven problem-solving, excellent technical communication, and experience mentoring engineers.
