About the role

The Relevance Group at Algolia is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to enhance core search capabilities by improving pre-query relevance (understanding) and post-query relevance (re-ranking). The role involves designing and developing ranking and understanding features, collaborating with a diverse team, and ensuring pipeline quality.

Requirements

Proven experience designing and operating pipelines in production, working with large datasets, building API services, and applying engineering best practices. Proficiency in cloud providers (GCP, AWS or Azure) and excellent English. Nice-to-have: AI models in production, Go/Python, Kubernetes, SQL, and UX sensitivity.
