Senior Site Reliability Engineer, PaaS

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer (IC4) on the PaaS team at Algolia enhances scalable infrastructure with focus on CI/CD, Observability, and application hosting. The role bridges junior and senior staff, ensuring reliability and scalability of Search Products, mentoring junior engineers, and transitioning legacy systems to Kubernetes. Key responsibilities include CI/CD pipeline design, observability improvement, Kubernetes and cloud management, system optimization, and cross-team collaboration.

Strong programming skills in Golang and Python (Ruby is a plus). Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or CircleCI. Proven experience designing observability frameworks and managing Kubernetes architectures on GCP, AWS, or Azure. Expertise in distributed systems at scale. Experience mentoring junior engineers, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams.
