Staff Software Engineer - Security Products

Fastly's Security Products group is seeking a full-time Staff Software Engineer to develop backend systems for large-scale web applications in Go. The role involves writing clean, modular code, participating in code reviews, optimizing performance, and collaborating with distributed teams. The engineer will contribute to building industry-leading security products that customers rely on to secure their infrastructure.

Requires 6+ years of enterprise software development experience, deep knowledge of HTTP and networking protocols (Varnish, H2O), strong interest in network security, hands-on experience developing and operating backend systems for web applications, experience in a collaborative distributed team, and strong Linux, automation, and shell scripting skills. Nice-to-haves include building security solutions, Kubernetes, and hybrid cloud management.
