Staff+ Software Security Engineer

Anthropic seeks a Staff+ Software Security Engineer to protect AI systems. This role owns identity & secrets management, developer security, infrastructure security, and secure frameworks. It includes designing complex security systems, threat modeling, mentoring, and enabling teams across multi-cloud and on-prem environments, focusing on authentication, cryptographic foundations, and developer security.

Minimum: 8+ years software engineering with deep security expertise, programming in Python or systems language (Go, Rust, C/C++), deep understanding of identity/cryptography/secrets management, Kubernetes security primitives, cross-functional leadership, communication skills, and passion for AI safety. Preferred: experience with identity/machine identity systems, developer security programs, CI infrastructure, Linux internals, multi-cloud security, network security, eBPF, etc.
