About the role
Zscaler seeks a Principal Production Engineer to drive automation-first culture, mature observability, and shape scalability of globally distributed multi-cloud infrastructure. The role involves designing highly available infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and bare-metal, implementing observability with Prometheus/Grafana, acting as Incident Commander, and partnering with engineering teams.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications: 10+ years managing reliability for large-scale production services, deep expertise in Python/Go/C++, strong background in networking, Linux, distributed architecture, incident management, ITIL frameworks. Preferred: AI/ML experience, public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP), IaC (Ansible, Terraform, Helm), chaos engineering, global routing (BGP), traffic tunneling (GRE, IPSec), L7 proxy (HAProxy), DNS at scale.
