Staff+ Software Engineer, Platform Portability

Design and build provider-agnostic abstractions, tooling, and deployment infrastructure for running Anthropic's platform across multiple cloud providers. Work on portable infrastructure (storage, messaging, connectivity) and shipping Claude onto partner clouds (end-to-end delivery, pipelines, integrations). The work directly determines how quickly and reliably safe AI can be deployed to users globally.

Minimum 8 years of experience building and operating production distributed systems. Must own large-scale infrastructure systems, lead cross-team projects, and run workloads across multiple cloud providers. Proficiency in Python, Go, or Rust; Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code; understanding of cloud IAM and networking differences. Experience with ML infrastructure, hyperscaler marketplaces, security/compliance/data residency preferred. Strong communication and mentorship skills, alignment with Anthropic's mission.
