About the role
Zscaler is seeking a Production Engineer to join the Cloud Infrastructure & Operations department. The role focuses on driving an automation-first culture, implementing highly available infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and bare-metal, maturing observability with Prometheus/Grafana/OpenTelemetry, and acting as an Incident Commander. The position is hybrid in San Jose, CA or Bellevue, WA.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications include 1-3 years of experience managing large-scale production services, deep expertise in programming (Python, Go, C/C++), strong background in networking and Linux, incident management experience, and proficiency in ITIL frameworks. Preferred qualifications include experience with public cloud, IaC (Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Temporal), chaos engineering, and global routing (BGP, GRE, IPSec).
