Staff Application Security Engineer

Fingerprint is seeking a Staff Application Security Engineer to be the founding senior engineer of a dedicated AppSec function. This hands-on role involves designing and building the secure development lifecycle, owning security tooling (SAST, DAST, SCA), leading threat modeling, managing vulnerabilities, and driving incident response. The engineer will partner with the Senior Manager on strategy and execution, and work across engineering to raise the security bar. The company is 100% remote and

8+ years in software engineering and/or security engineering with 5+ years focused on application security. Strong software engineering foundation in TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or Python. Deep practical AppSec expertise including OWASP Top 10, authentication, authentication, API security, injection, SSRF, cryptography. Experience with threat modeling, security tooling (SAST/DAST/SCA) in CI/CD, AI-native security tooling, vulnerability management, and influence without authority. Clear clear.
