Staff+ Application Security Engineer - M&A

Anthropic seeks a Staff+ Application Security Engineer to lead M&A security due diligence and integration. This role owns assessing target security posture pre-close, delivering risk readouts to leadership, driving post-close integration, formalizing playbook and tooling with Claude, and contributing to core AppSec projects between deals. The position is part of the Application Security team, using Claude as primary tool for automation.

7+ years in application security, security consulting, or architecture. Hands-on AppSec and infrastructure security in cloud and containerized environments. Rapid assessment of unfamiliar codebases and clear risk assessments. Production coding in Python, Go, Rust, or TypeScript. Threat-modeling and vulnerability identification. Prior M&A due diligence experience. Experience with SAST/DAST, bug bounty, vulnerability management, security automation. Familiarity with LLMs and securing agentic systems.
