Engineering Manager, Subscriptions

Strava is hiring an Engineering Manager for the Subscriptions team, responsible for leading backend engineers, owning the technical roadmap for payments and subscription infrastructure, staying hands-on in code, and ensuring reliability. Candidates need 5+ years of backend software development experience, 2+ years of engineering management or tech lead experience, proficiency in one of Ruby, Java, Scala, Python, or Go, experience with distributed systems (MySQL, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes), and genuine interest in payments or subscription systems. Proven ability to grow engineers through mentorship.
