Senior Backend Engineer, Compliance Engineering

The Compliance Engineering team builds products to establish trust and adapt Reddit's platforms to evolving regulatory requirements. Engineers work across domains, partner with teams, own product areas end-to-end, and lead cross-functional initiatives. They shape strategy from design to launch, and mentor engineers.

5+ years backend development experience with Go, Python, Postgres, Redis, Thrift, GraphQL, Docker/k8s on AWS. Experience as tech lead on projects with 3+ backend engineers. Ability to design complex distributed systems under high load. Self-directed, innovative, biased towards action. Excellent communication skills. Experience mentoring and leading cross-functional projects preferred.
