Staff Back-end Engineer

Coupang's Rocket Growth team seeks a Staff Back-end Engineer to design and implement large-scale distributed systems for the 2P marketplace. The role involves direct ownership of features to enhance scalability, reliability, and performance, collaborating with a team of engineers to meet growing business needs.

7+ years professional software development experience with large-scale back-end systems and microservices. Deep technical mastery in at least one modern back-end language (Go, Java, Python, C++, Rust) and databases. Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure), Kubernetes, CI/CD. Preferred: event-driven architectures, distributed messaging, observability, mentorship.
