Senior Software Engineer - Backend Platform

Senior Backend Platform Engineer at Customer.io. Work on the Platform team to design, build, and own the infrastructure powering a marketing automation platform that processes millions of events per second. Tackle distributed systems challenges, ensure high availability and reliability, and shape the architecture for scalability and developer experience.

Deep experience with distributed systems and large-scale backend architecture. Strong understanding of reliability, observability, and fault tolerance. Experience with event-driven systems, message queues, or data pipelines preferred. 10+ years building scalable systems in Go or similar statically typed languages. Expertise in databases (MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, BigTable) and cloud-native environments (AWS, GCP). Collaborative mindset and bias for action.
