Software Engineer 2, Backend

Robinhood is hiring a Software Engineer 2, Backend to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and data systems for core financial products. The role involves solving complex scalability challenges, developing product features, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Candidates may join the Brokerage, Incentives, or Identity teams, focusing on trading infrastructure, user engagement, or fraud prevention.

Minimum 2+ years software development experience with a strong track record of delivering large-scale projects. Must have solid backend development and system design skills, proficiency in Go or Python, and experience with Kafka or similar data streaming technologies. Familiarity with large-scale datasets is required. Preferred experience includes fintech, Postgres, Kubernetes, Redis, and AWS.
