Senior Software Engineer, Capacity & Efficiency

The Capacity & Efficiency Engineering team builds software to manage and reduce Robinhood's AWS cloud spend across compute, databases, and storage. This Senior Software Engineer role focuses on storage and database fleet: building forecast-driven capacity planning, designing a capacity planner for Aurora, rightsizing databases/caches/volumes, owning S3 efficiency, and taking recommendations to closed-loop automation. The role is based in Bellevue, WA with in-person attendance at least 3 days per

Deep hands-on experience with AWS storage and databases at scale (Aurora, RDS, S3). Capacity planning and forecasting experience. Track record of rightsizing infrastructure from utilization data. Strong Python or Go engineering with automation experience. Familiarity with AWS pricing and bursty workloads is a plus.
