About the role
Vercel, the agentic infrastructure company, seeks a Software Engineer for its Platform team. The role involves designing and building high-scale internal observability systems (metrics, logs, traces), cost attribution tooling, and partnering with backend teams. The position can be onsite, hybrid, or remote with anchor days in SF, NY, London, or Berlin. Reports to Eric Larson.
Requirements
Proficient in TypeScript with backend/infrastructure experience. Hands-on experience with Go, Rust, or Zig in production. Experience with distributed computing at scale, cloud infrastructure including object storage. Familiarity with observability tooling (Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, Splunk, or CNCF stacks). Preferred: contributions to CNCF observability projects, building internal developer platforms.
