About the role
Vercel is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Observability team. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining observability products that integrate with the Vercel Platform. Responsibilities include handling large-scale data ingestion, developing visualization tools, integrating with frontend tools, writing clean code, collaborating with teams, engaging with open source, and collecting user feedback.
Requirements
At least 5+ years of relevant work experience. Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript/Go. Experience with columnar databases like ClickHouse or Tinybird. Experience processing large quantities of data using messaging systems or streaming services. Contributions to open source projects. Familiarity with frontend frameworks and performance optimization. Proactive and self-driven approach. Excellent communication skills.
