Senior Software Engineer - Data Infrastructure

Backblaze is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their Data Infrastructure team. The role involves designing automation frameworks, improving observability and stability of the storage platform, building dashboards, and leading large feature implementations. The candidate will work on automation, tooling, and architectural changes for B2 Object Storage and Computer Backup.

7+ years of backend development in an enterprise environment using languages like Java, Rust, C++, Go. Experience designing automation frameworks and building large-scale systems on thousands of servers. Proficiency with observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, etc.), Linux fundamentals, and AI-assisted development tools. Strong communication and analytical skills.
