Tech Lead — Subscriptions Team

Tech Lead role for the Subscriptions platform at Xsolla, a global commerce company for video games. Responsibilities include leading and mentoring the engineering team, owning architectural decisions, providing reliable ETAs, ensuring SLA commitments, developing subscription services in PHP and Go, guiding legacy PHP modernization, improving scalability and reliability, and partnering with Product, QA, and DevOps.

Minimum 6+ years backend engineering experience (PHP and/or Go), proven team leadership and delivery management, experience with legacy PHP migrations, REST APIs, microservices, database optimization, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, monitoring, observability, strong communication and leadership skills. Preferred: Redis, Kafka, RabbitMQ, monetization/payments/recurring billing, gaming/fintech/high-load environments.
