Staff Security Engineer, Risk Engineering

Anthropic seeks a Staff Security Engineer for the Security Risk team to identify, prioritize, and drive treatment of security risks. The role involves building AI-native risk tooling, performing risk assessments and quantification, designing remediation strategies, and mentoring engineers. The candidate will work across security domains including identity, secrets management, infrastructure security, and supply chain. This is greenfield work with direct impact on CISO-level decisions.

At least 8 years of software engineering or security engineering experience, strong programming in Python, Go, Rust, or C/C++, broad security engineering knowledge with depth in one domain, calibrated risk judgment, cross-functional leadership, excellent communication, ability to drive ambiguous problems, low ego, passion for AI safety.
