Staff AI Architect

DigitalOcean is seeking a Staff AI Architect to own the architecture for building an AI-native company. The role involves designing and implementing agentic systems, integrating with enterprise systems like Workday and Salesforce, and setting technical standards across a distributed team in the US and India. The architect will write code, build prototypes, publish reference implementations, and shape the internal AI platform. This is a hybrid role near Boston.

Candidates need substantial experience as a software or enterprise architect (10+ years) with recent hands-on AI engineering building LLM and agentic systems in production. Must have proficiency in Python, Go, or TypeScript, cloud-native infrastructure, enterprise system integration, agent identity and security, governance frameworks, and business translation skills. Preferred experience with AI developer tooling, re-engineering business processes, agent evaluation tools, and knowledge graphs.
