Backend Software Engineer, GNC (Starlink)

Join Starlink's Space Safety team to build mission-critical distributed systems for collision avoidance, space situational awareness, and orbit determination. Develop highly reliable software for managing thousands of satellites in low-earth orbit, from design through deployment. Participate in architecture reviews, prototyping, and continuous integration. Contribute to a system that keeps space safe for all operators.

Requires a Bachelors degree in STEM and 1+ year of industry/internship experience, or 2+ years of professional software development. Must have professional experience in C++, Python, Golang, or similar. Preferred skills include strong C/C++ in production, distributed systems, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), relational databases (PostgreSQL, CockroachDB), profiling, and real-time or physics simulation experience.
