Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Site Reliability Engineer for the Starlink program to improve utilization of deployed hardware and provide the best satellite internet experience. The role involves upgrading distributed systems to be sharded and geo-redundant, managing petabyte-scale bare metal clusters, advancing deployment and monitoring infrastructure, and collaborating across programs to create scalable products.

Requires Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or science and 5 years of software development experience, or 7+ years experience without a degree; Linux experience. Preferred: 5+ years SRE/DevOps, Kubernetes, Istio, data processing (Kafka, Spark, HBase, HDFS, Flink), hardware/networking troubleshooting, programming in Python, C#, Java, Scala, Go or similar, and understanding of version control, CI/CD. Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends.
