Senior Staff+ Software Engineer, Kubernetes Platform

Anthropic is seeking a Senior Staff+ Software Engineer for the Kubernetes Platform team. The role involves owning and extending the Kubernetes scheduler for accelerator fleets, scaling the control plane (apiserver, etcd), building custom controllers and operators, and partnering with research and training teams. The engineer will work on scheduling, topology-aware placement, and ensuring high availability and reliability for frontier AI model training and inference.

Significant software engineering experience building production distributed systems; proficiency in Go, Python, Rust, or C++; deep hands-on Kubernetes experience with scheduler, controllers, apiserver, or large multi-tenant clusters; ability to debug complex issues across the stack; track record designing for reliability; strong communication; plus 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
