Senior Software Engineer, AI Gateway

The AI Gateway team at Kong is building the central nervous system for the agentic era, enabling developers to securely connect, observe, and manage AI/ML services at scale. Responsibilities include designing high-performance components in Golang, influencing technical roadmap, architecting scalable systems, mentoring engineers, driving best practices in testing and observability, and collaborating cross-functionally.

Extensive experience in systems languages (Golang or Python), deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices, cloud-native tech (Kubernetes, Docker), interest in AI/ML infrastructure, networking fundamentals. Soft skills: ownership, urgency, collaboration. Nice-to-haves: open-source contributions, Nginx/Lua, AI frameworks, API gateway experience.
