About the role
At Databricks, we are passionate about enabling data teams. The Senior Software Engineer - Backend will design, build, and operate scalable distributed systems, take ownership of complex projects, drive technical decisions, resolve performance issues, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to deliver high-impact features.
Requirements
5+ years software engineering experience, experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems, proficiency in Java, Scala, C++, or Go, strong understanding of data structures and system design, experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes), SaaS platforms, software security, strong communication, and B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent.
