Build the control plane for AI requests at Databricks, including routing, budget enforcement, and guardrails. Collaborate with research, platform, infra, and AI/ML teams to improve reliability, latency, and efficiency of distributed AI workloads. Shape how developers build and interact with AI on Databricks.
Requirements
8+ years backend/infrastructure engineering. Strong programming in Scala or Go. Experience with distributed systems, high-throughput APIs, cloud-native infrastructure, service-oriented architecture, deployment pipelines, system observability. Preferred: real-time serving, AI infrastructure, GPU orchestration, platforms like Bedrock/Vertex AI/Azure ML, developer platforms for AI workflows.
