Senior Product Security Engineer

The Senior Product Security Engineer will report to the Manager of Secure Design and be responsible for enabling DigitalOcean to build secure-by-design products. Responsibilities include threat modeling application designs, providing security risk assessments, collaborating with product teams, cultivating security culture through training and mentoring, and building security tooling and automation.

Candidates must have experience leading architectural changes to mitigate security vulnerabilities, ability to communicate security topics clearly, a record of partnering with engineering teams, and working knowledge of modern development concepts (virtualization, containers, CI/CD). Preferred qualifications include 3+ years guiding teams on secure architecture design, threat modeling experience, knowledge of supply chain security, and familiarity with Go, JavaScript, Rust, or C.
