Software Engineer, Data and AI Platform

DoorDash is building a reliable logistics engine. The Data User Experience Engineering team builds products for employees to answer questions with data, including AI-first reporting, conversational analytics, semantic layer, and full-stack infrastructure. The role involves owning the path from question to answer, shipping agentic analytics features, building data platform for authoring, dashboard runtime, AI experience, semantic layer, query caching, and AI-enabled services.

B.S./M.S./PhD in CS or equivalent, 3+ years software engineering experience, strong backend fundamentals in Go/Python, shipped an LLM-powered feature to real users, built meaningful pieces of data platform products (semantic layers, data discovery, reporting, caching), familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes, experience with MCP/agent frameworks, reporting/analytics tooling, prompt optimization, full stack a plus.
