Senior Software Engineer II, Ads Data Solutions Engineering

The Ads DSE team at Instacart builds core capabilities for off-platform advertising, data collaboration (cleanrooms), and taxonomy management. This Senior Engineer II role co-owns the technical roadmap, modernizes data infrastructure, scales integrations, drives AI-first development, and mentors engineers. Partners with Product, Data Science, and Platform teams to deliver scalable systems.

8+ years software engineering experience delivering large-scale backend/data systems. Strong in Python and Ruby/Go. Experience with data pipelines (DBT, Airflow, Spark/Databricks), cloud (Snowflake, AWS), ad-tech/cleanrooms, privacy compliance (GDPR/CCPA). Proficiency in AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, OpenAI). Clear communication and mentorship skills.
