Senior Software Engineer, Fulfillment

Instacart is seeking a backend engineer to build the platform powering real-world, real-time processes for their logistics platform, including batching, routing, dispatch, and shopper pay. The role leads technical design for high-impact projects, ensures system reliability, drives best practices, and mentors engineers.

Minimum: 5+ years backend development, fluency in Ruby/Python/Go, strong services/API design, database and system design, async event-driven systems, excellent communication, CS degree or equivalent. Preferred: fulfillment/logistics/e-commerce experience, workflow orchestration, AI coding tools, compliance systems.
