Backend Engineer (Mid/Senior), Maps

Wheely is redefining premium transportation across Europe, US, and Middle East. The Mapping team handles road matching, ETA predictions, and real-time tracking. As a Mid/Senior Backend Engineer, you will write high-quality Go code, implement microservices, migrate from legacy Ruby monolith, and collaborate with product, design, and data science teams. You will ensure systems are responsive under heavy load.

3+ years (5+ for senior) building scalable backend services. Strong engineering fundamentals in Go, Python, C++, or Ruby. Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and message brokers (RabbitMQ, Kafka). At least 1 year of mapping-related work (geospatial data, map-matching, routing algorithms). Upper-Intermediate English (B2). Experience with TDD, DDD, and CI/CD.
