Senior Software Engineer, AI Entries

Lyft's Applied AI team seeks a Senior Backend Engineer to build foundational infrastructure connecting Lyft to AI ecosystems. Responsibilities include architecting APIs and orchestration layers for third-party agents, establishing engineering best practices, driving high-impact projects, mentoring engineers, writing maintainable code, participating in code reviews and on-call rotation. The role requires collaboration with product, data science, and operations teams.

BS/MS in CS or equivalent, 5+ years software engineering experience, proficiency in Python and Go, experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), distributed systems, databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB), AI tools (Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor), object-oriented programming, data structures/algorithms. Bonus: LLM orchestration (LangChain), vector databases, APIs for conversational agents.
