Manager of Data Platform & Operations Engineering

CarGurus is hiring a Manager of Data Platform & Operations Engineering to lead the reliability, scalability, and operations of their data platform. The role involves owning the platform roadmap for ingestion, orchestration, storage, and observability, setting SLAs, cost, security, and quality controls, and partnering with internal customers to prioritize capabilities and improve developer experience.

Requires a BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent, 5+ years in data engineering or analytics, 2+ years people management, coding experience in Python/Java/Go, expertise with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake and BI platforms like Tableau, expert SQL and dimensional modeling, ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and experience with AI experiments.
