Application Security Engineer I

CarGurus is seeking an Application Security Engineer I to join their Security Engineering and Architecture team. This hands-on technical role involves securing applications, products, and infrastructure, partnering with engineers, threat modeling, vulnerability remediation, and contributing to security guardrails. Ideal for someone early in their security career eager to learn application security fundamentals.

0-2 years experience in cybersecurity, application security, software engineering, or related field. Interest in AI/ML, familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Kubernetes), secure coding, vulnerability management, threat modeling, SDLC processes, CI/CD, and at least one programming language (Python, Go, Java). Passion for continuous learning.
