Staff+ Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure

Anthropic is hiring a Staff+ Software Engineer for Data Infrastructure to design, operate, and scale secure, privacy-respecting data systems. The role involves building data governance and access controls, financial data pipelines, cloud storage reliability, and data platform tooling using BigQuery, Airflow, dbt, etc. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders while diving into cloud infrastructure primitives.

Requires 10+ years in software engineering building data infrastructure or distributed systems, and 3+ years leading large-scale projects. Strong proficiency in Python, Go, Java, and experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi) and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS). Bachelor's degree in relevant field. Excellent collaboration skills.
