About the role
The Auth & Identity team builds authentication, authorization, and identity platform for Anthropic products. This role owns critical high-traffic systems end-to-end, working on credentials for agents, unified authorization, enterprise integrations, and multi-region resilience. You will set technical direction and work closely with product, security, and infrastructure teams.
Requirements
8+ years building backend/platform systems at scale, experience with identity protocols (OAuth, OIDC, SAML, SCIM, JWT), strong reliability and security mindset, comfortable with large live migrations, product-focused platform work, ability to navigate ambiguity, and familiarity with AI tools. Preferred: globally distributed databases, Go/Python/Rust/TypeScript, enterprise identity integrations.
