Senior Software Engineer, Core Platform

Astronomer is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Core Platform team to work on core systems powering Astro's Public API, authentication, billing, alerting, and ensure platform reliability, scalability, and maintainability. This role involves contributing to architecture, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and building customer-facing features.

Candidates should have a track record in building performant, scalable backend systems; strong communication skills; experience with Go, Kubernetes, SQL databases (Postgres); advanced understanding of distributed systems; and experience leveraging AI coding assistants. Nice-to-haves include open source contributions, Apache Airflow experience, and billing/authentication experience.
